What is Counselling and Psychotherapy?

Counselling

Psychotherapy

"The treatment of mental disorder by psychological rather than medical means."

Counselling and Psychotherapy provide a safe place for you to look at any issues you have that might keep you from living your life the way you would like to.

Counselling usually addresses more current issues in your life, like bereavement, sudden changes or a stressful work environment while Psychotherapy is usually over a longer period of time and deals with deeper issues, like childhood trauma or abuse. Both might overlap.

The aim of both is to look at different ways to help you deal with difficult times and challenges you face. The Counsellor & Psychotherapist will help you explore your life and yourself in a non-judgemental, empathetic and genuine environment.
